  • Lie flat on the floor relaxed with legs placed together.
  • Raise your legs upwards to a 90o angle.
  • Raise your buttocks upwards by pushing them with the support of your hands.

  • Maintain the pose and inhale and exhale. 

4. Corpse Pose/ Shavasana

  • Lie down on your back with legs and hands(palms facing upwards) straight on the floor.
  • Close your eyes and extend your legs and hands.
  • Breathe and focus on your toes.
  • Release each part of your body, from toes to head.

5. Shoulder Stand/ Sarvanganasan

 Sarvangasana is a type of inversion asana that improves blood circulation. Sarvangasana is also beneficial for the thyroid gland because the chin is tucked in the chest. 

  • Lie down and slowly raise your legs upwards to a 90-degree angle.
  • Raise the buttocks by bringing the legs towards the head.
  • Raise the abdomen and chest to form a straight line between the chest and legs.
  • Place your hands on your back and your chin on your chest. 
  • Maintain the position for a minimum of 15 seconds. 

6.  Fish Pose/ Matsayasana

Matsayasana is a reclining asana. It is a type of back-bending asana in hatha yoga. Fish Pose is beneficial for treating the thyroid as the blood circulation in the thyroid glands is increased. It is a type of back-bending asana in hatha yoga. 

  • Lie down with your legs and hands straight on the floor.
  • Place hands underneath the buttocks with palms facing downwards.
  • Lift your shoulders.
  • Lift your head and touch the top of your head to the floor
  • Arch your back and lift your legs to a 45o angle.
  • Maintain the pose for 10 seconds. 

7. Camel Pose/ Ustrasana

Ustrasana is a type of back-bending exercise. Camel Pose is beneficial for treating the thyroid, as stretching the neck, stimulates the thyroid gland and helps improve its functioning.

  • Kneel down with knees and feet together.
  • Push your hips forwards and lean backward.
  • Bend your spine and head as farther backward as possible.
  • Place your hands on your feet and relax.
  • Maintain the pose for a few seconds. 

8. Wheel Pose/ Chakraasan

Chakraasan is a chest and a heart opener. Chakraasan helps improve blood circulation, as the head is placed below the waist, beneficial for treating the thyroid. It also helps treat the thyroid, as in this pose, the thyroid gland is stimulated due to the stretching of the neck and chest.

  • Lie on your back with bent knees.
